Video: What to make of Jon Anik’s UFC fan base criticism and subsequent apology

What, if anything, was wrong with what Jon Anik had to say about UFC fans being toxic on social media?

UFC play-by-play commentator Jon Anik revealed last week on his “Anik & Florian Podcast” that the MMA fan base has made him ponder his future in the sport after the latest wave of negativity stemming from the split decision result between Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland at UFC 297.

Anik prides himself on being accessible to his followers, but he did say that he felt turned off by the toxicity. A few days later, Anik apologized via social media to his followers and said he needs to be more responsible on an open microphone.

So what do we think? Was Anik in any way out of line, and was an apology warranted? Our “Spinning Back Clique” of Mike Bohn, Nolan King and Brian “Goze” Garcia answer with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia.
