[autotag]Jorge Masvidal[/autotag] has been around the game for quite some time.
The veteran fighter is nearing 10 years in the UFC, as he debuted for the promotion in April 2013. Masvidal (35-15 MMA, 12-8 UFC) didn’t get an easy welcome to the UFC. He was pit against fellow veteran Tom Means in the preliminary card of UFC on FOX 7.

Although he was a UFC newcomer, “Gamebred” already had plenty of experience even back then.
Masvidal had 30 fights under his belt and had already fought for a major title, having challenged Gilbert Melendez for Strikeforce lightweight belt. That night at UFC on Fox 7 in San Jose, Calif., Masvidal bested Means in a very technical standup fight. Masvidal won the fight via unanimous decision, outpointing Means 29–28 on all three judges’ scorecards.
