Video shows Patrick Mahomes revealing he booked a Super Bowl 57 Airbnb for his family 3 months in advance

Even Mahomes is afraid of Airbnb’s surge prices!

Netflix’s Quarterback has revealed a lot of stuff we didn’t know about Patrick Mahomes.

We saw his fury after injuring his ankle in the Divisional Round of last year’s playoffs. Other footage caught him admitting he thinks the Cincinnati Bengals are better than the Buffalo Bills. We even got a delightful taste of how he can trash-talk an opposing defense, which in this case, was the San Francisco 49ers.

But I can’t say I saw the NFL’s face — who earned nearly $27 million last year and is in the midst of a $450 million contract — worrying about increasing prices for Airbnb bookings. That’s exactly what a video from Super Bowl 57 media night showed.

In a conversation with Jalen Hurts on stage, Mahomes revealed he booked his family’s Airbnb for Super Bowl 57 three months in advance.

Why? He wanted to beat the application’s inevitable price surge once everyone else descended into the Phoenix area and started reserving places to stay.

I don’t think this was about his expectations for the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason at all. Even if Kansas City didn’t make the Super Bowl, he would’ve likely been in Arizona for the NFL Honors anyway. I respect that Mahomes wanted to budget and save some money where he could.

But it’s such a strange flex for one of the richest players in the sport to talk about affordability for something he could totally afford and then some.
