Unfortunately, Bryce Young’s critically-acclaimed performance at the Carolina Panthers’ rookie talent show stayed at the Carolina Panthers’ rookie talent show. But we do have this . . .

The video of Young, a live Instagram broadcast by former University of Alabama teammate and current Houston Texans linebacker Christian Harris from 2021, resurfaced on Twitter this afternoon. (Props to @raleighpanther for digging it up.)
After a week of keeping the song selection under wraps, Young revealed his affinity for Cole’s hit to team reporters earlier in the week.
“It’s a classic. Just, a good song,” he said on Tuesday. “I tried to do my best impression. That’s all. I just tried to sing my little heart out. That’s it.”
He also revealed the secret to his success.
“Crowd control,” he added. “It’s what you gotta bring to the table. That’s a big performance. What else do you bring? I lack a lot in the singing department, but I try to make up for it with the performance.”
Well, if his singing in Spartanburg was anything like it was in Tuscaloosa, he isn’t wrong.
