Like many around the world watching UFC 293 live, Joe Rogan was visibly and audibly stunned when the most shocking moment of Saturday’s event in Sydney.
While he was not in attendance at Qudos Bank Arena to call the action, Rogan hosted a JRE Fight Companion with guest hosts Bryan Callen, Brendan Schaub, and Sam Tripoli – and lost his mind when [autotag]Sean Strickland[/autotag] dropped and nearly finished [autotag]Israel Adesanya[/autotag] in Round 1 of the main event.

Adesanya survived the late Round 1 flurry from Strickland, but ultimately lost a unanimous decision and his title along with it. Rogan gave all five rounds to Strickland, while the judges gave Strickland four (49-46 across the board).
“That is f*cking crazy,” Rogan said, of Strickland’s dominant performance. “There is one round Izzy might have won but I don’t think he did. All of those significant strikes, that’s nonsense. You’re looking at leg kicks that get checked, you can’t count those as significant strikes.
“That wild motherf*cker. Middleweight champion of the world. God, I wish I was there. I wish I was there for that.”
