MANAMA, Bahrain – Viewer discretion is advised for this one. Bahrain’s [autotag]Hussain Ayyad[/autotag] suffered a nasty leg break this past Saturday at Brave CF 29.
Ayyad took on Matiss Zaharovs in his home country of Bahrain, but was on the receiving end of a terrible injury. In Round 1, Ayyad threw a leg kick that was checked by Zaharovs, snapping Ayyad’s leg in half – shades of Anderson Silva’s leg break against Chris Weidman at UFC 168.
Ayyad was taken out on a stretcher in front of a stunned, sold-out crowd at Khalifa Sports City Arena, and Zaharovs was forced to hold back on his celebration.
