Video: Did Jake Paul, Nate Diaz fumble fight hype at first press conference?

Jake Paul and Nate Diaz had a first press conference ahead of their Aug. 5 boxing match, but the reaction to it was quite mixed.

The road to the boxing showdown between [autotag]Jake Paul[/autotag] and [autotag]Nate Diaz[/autotag] is officially underway after the first press conference featuring the two sides went down.

Paul, a former YouTube star turned boxer, will be the first opponent for Diaz since he parted ways with the UFC last year. It’s a promotional collaboration between the two sides, and they now carry all the burden of building hype around the fight.

There seems to be mixed reaction about whether the press conference was helpful or hurtful, though, because the tension was surprisingly lacking. Moreover, Paul and Diaz were more playful than hostile in the staredown.
