This past weekend, light heavyweight prospect [autotag]Joe Hurst[/autotag] claimed Tuff-N-Uff’s vacant title by scoring one of the most brutal knockouts you’ll ever witness.
Early in the first round of their headlining clash at Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Hurst caught opponent [autotag]Diego Vazquez[/autotag] with a vicious left hand that sent him tumbling to the floor. A game Vazquez popped right back to his feet, only to be floored by another big left.
Vazquez was out before he hit the canvas, and the fight was waved off at the 56-second mark of the first frame. The concern on referee Joe Sullivan’s face as he tends to the fallen fighter serves to convey the concern that followed, as Vazquez’s extremities stiffened and he struggled to regain consciousness.
Fortunately, Vazquez was taken to a local hospital and put through a battery of tests, including an MRI, that all came back negative, and he was released later that night. Meanwhile, Hurst left the venue with a title belt and a vicious clip for his highlight reel that you can check out in the video above.
