Victor Wembanyama shows love to Spurs crowd after big win over Knicks

Victor Wembanyama showed love to the crowd at Frost Bank Center after the San Antonio Spurs’ win over the New York Knicks.

For the majority of the season, the San Antonio Spurs have sat at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. However, the fans have stood behind them all year, especially with the emergence of rookie Victor Wembanyama as one of the top stars in the NBA. Luckily, the Spurs have been showing signs of improvement.

On Friday night, the Spurs won their third game in a row, taking down the New York Knicks at home in an overtime thriller. Jalen Brunson put up 61 points, but Wembanyama matched his greatness with a 40-point, 20-rebound double-double. It was an electric game, and the Spurs ended the night on top in front of their home fans.

Wembanyama even threw the game ball into the crowd at the end of the game out of excitement (an action that earned him a $25,000 fine from the NBA).
