The San Antonio Spurs have a new face of the franchise on their hands. As soon as they selected Victor Wembanyama with the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, their future was set. Wembanyama was the most hyped-up prospect since LeBron James in 2003, and he’s lived up to the hype so far.
Though the Spurs haven’t been winning many games this season, Wembanyama has been a joy to watch on both ends of the court. When he’s at his best, he’s able to dominate the game defensively, and his offense has been super impressive as well. And he loves San Antonio.
After a long road trip, the Spurs recently picked up a big win at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and after the game, he had a loud message for San Antonio fans.
