Victor Wembanyama has praise for the Boston Celtics in his TD Garden debut

The 7-foot-4 French forward, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft this summer, impressed the Celtics fans in attendance by putting up 27 points and 5 rebounds in just 27 minutes of floor time

The Boston Celtics secured a blowout win to the tune of 117-98 over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday evening at TD Garden, a game that was notable due to Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama‘s debut on the Celtics’ iconic parquet floor.

The 7-foot-4 French forward, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft this summer, impressed the Celtics fans in attendance by putting up 27 points and 5 rebounds in just 27 minutes of floor time with San Antonio. In light of this standout performance from Wemby (and the NBA debut of Celtics rookie wing Jordan Walsh), CLNS Media reporter Bobby Manning invited Noa Dalzell from Celtics Blog to the “Garden Report” podcast to discuss the impact of Wembanyama’s first NBA game in Boston.
