Victim in Mike Hall Jr. domestic violence case recants original statement

Mike Hall Jr.’s victim has recanted her original story in a new statement to the police

Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. found himself in hot water last week after he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

In the statement given to the police, Hall Jr.’s fiance stated that the defensive tackle had hit her with a baby bottle, thrown all of her belongings into the yard while telling her to get out, dragged her by her legs down the driveway, and even held a gun to her head.

According to Fox8 News, however, Hall Jr.’s victim has recanted her story against the second round pick. The statement cannot be released to the public though as it is considered evidence at this point in the process. WKYC adds that Hall Jr.’s fiance told the police she was “mistaken” when she stated that he put a gun to her head.

Hall Jr. is due back in court for this misdemeanor charge on September 10.
