ORLANDO — Josh Richardson would have liked a better return to the basketball court Saturday night.
Richardson’s team, the Philadelphia 76ers, played their first game since March as the NBA continued its restart of the 2020 season, which was suspended for nearly four months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 76ers made their return to the hardwood and suffered a 131-127 loss to the Indiana Pacers at Orlando’s Visa Athletic Center.
Richardson, a former All-Southeastern Conference standout for the University of Tennessee’s men’s basketball team in 2015, had his share of struggles for the 76ers, scoring just four points and posting an assist in 30 minutes against the Pacers.
