LOS ANGELES — For the last three seasons, Daniel Bituli was the University of Tennessee’s leading tackler. He has also been an emotional leader for the Volunteers’ defense.
Bitluli was hoping to have a long professional football career, but after he left Knoxville, he was not taken in the 2020 NFL draft.
He was later signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Rams.
He was cut Saturday, however, before the season got started.
The linebacker was placed on waivers along with running back James Gilbert, defensive end Greg Reaves and defensive tackle Sam Renner.
Bituli made 88 stops during his senior season en route to earning Second Team All-Southeastern Conference honors.
