NEW YORK — Former University of Tennessee football player Charles Davis is headed to CBS.
Davis, who worked as a broadcaster and color analyst for Fox Sports for more than a decade, was recently hired by CBS. He will be teamed with Ian Eagle and the duo is set be the network’s No. 2 broadcasting team for National Football League games, behind Jim Nantz and Tony Romo.
Davis replaces former San Diego Chargers quarterback and NFL Hall of Famer Dan Fouts.
The former Vol has also worked for NFL Network where he provides analysis.
Davis played for the Volunteers from 1983-86. He was a starting safety on Rocky Top for four seasons and made 234 tackles in his collegiate career.
