VFL Admiral Schofield traded on draft night

Former Tennessee basketball player Admiral Schofield has been traded.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Former University of Tennessee basketball player Admiral Schofield was part of a 2020 NBA draft night trade Wednesday.

Schofield played for the Washington Wizards last season.

He was sent to the Oklahoma City Thunder along with draft rights to Vit Krejci. In the deal, Washington obtained the draft rights to Cassius Winston and a 2024 second-round pick.

Schofield played in 33 games for the Wizards and made two starts last season, his rookie campaign in the NBA.

He averaged 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game, while playing 11.2 minutes per contest.

Schofield also played for Washington’s NBA G-League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go. He started 33 games and played an average of nearly 31 minutes per contest. He averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per outing.

He also shot 45.6 percent from the floor.
