Vanderbilt-Georgia game postponed, how it affects Tennessee

Tennessee will play Texas A&M and Vanderbilt to conclude the regular season.

Vanderbilt was slated to play at Georgia Saturday.

The contest has been postponed due to the Vanderbilt football squad size and position availability falling below roster minimum requirements, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 protocols.

The Vanderbilt-Georgia game will be rescheduled for Dec. 19.

Should Georgia qualify for the SEC championship game on Dec. 19, the Bulldogs’ matchup with Vanderbilt would be declared a no-contest. Georgia would still represent the SEC East in that scenario.

Tennessee will play Texas A&M and Vanderbilt to conclude the regular season. Both contests were postponed from earlier this season.

With Vanderbilt slated to play at Georgia on Dec. 19, the Commodores would most likely play Tennessee Dec. 12.
