The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Jeff Potrykus reported today that there are rumblings at Notre Dame that their October 3 matchup with the Badgers could be moved from its planned location of Lambeau Field.

“According to a podcast done by Irish Illustrated Insider, the game could be moved to Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend,” Potrykus wrote. “The reason: Notre Dame is the designated home team for the 2020 game. UW is the designated home team for the 2021 game set to be played on Sept. 25 at Soldier Field in Chicago.”

He continued, though, by saying that “UW insists moving the 2020 game out of Lambeau Field has not been part of any discussions.”

There is obviously a lot up in the air right now about the season–especially game locations and out-of-conference play.

These decisions most likely will not be made any time soon, but these early rumblings could indicate a Badger game at Lambeau Field this year is not a forgone conclusion.
