Utah Jazz at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Utah Jazz at Brooklyn Nets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Utah Jazz (45-26) are on the East Coast Monday night for a road matchup with the Brooklyn Nets (37-34) – a key game for both teams with the playoffs approaching. Tip-off from Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Team vs. Team odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Jazz have won three straight games, beating the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls in the last week. They covered the spread in each game, winning each by at least 15 points. Utah is fourth in the Western Conference standings, 3.5 games back of the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 2 seed. G Donovan Mitchell has been on a tear lately, scoring 73 points in his last two games and at least 29 points in each of his last three.

The Nets have also been playing well recently, winning five of their last six games. That stretch includes wins over the Knicks, Philadlephia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets and Portland Trail Blazers, but their one loss came to the Mavericks, 113-111. PG Kyrie Irving is ineligible to play in this one becasue of local COVID-19 rules, his third consecutive missed game.

Jazz at Nets odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 115, Nets 110

Money line

The Jazz are playing the second night of a back-to-back, which makes this an even tougher matchup. However, they won’t have to face Irving, who’s been on fire in recent games after dropping 50 points and 60 points in two of his last three starts.

The Nets are still a good team without Irving, but they’ll be more reliant on SF Kevin Durant now. I like the JAZZ (-120)  to win outright.

Against the spread

Utah has covered the spread in each of the last three games, while the Nets are 2-2 ATS in their last four. Their home record against the spread has been abysmal, going just 4-21-1 ATS in their last 26 home games, according to Covers.

Bet the JAZZ -1.5 (-110) to cover the small spread against the Nets on the road.

Over/Under

In the Jazz’s last five road games, the total has gone Under each time. And  without Irving, the Nets will be lacking one of their top scorers.

The total is set a bit higher at 229.5, and I like the UNDER (-107)  in this matchup.
