MURFREESBORO — A Class of 2022 recruiting target for Jeremy Pruitt and the University of Tennessee football team has transferred high school.
Isaiah Horton, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver is now enrolled at Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Horton, who already has scholarship offers from several elite college football programs, spent his first two high school seasons at the Ensworth School, a private college preparatory in Nashville.
The Tigers are a Division II-AAA powerhouse, but the competition certainly will not be lacking at Oakland High School as the the Patriots won the Division I Class 6A state championship in 2018.
Oakland was the last team to beat the East Tennessee high school powerhouse Maryville.
The Patriots ousted the Rebels in the Class 6A state semifinals with a 38-0 victory in 2018.
Horton has been offered by Oregon, Penn State, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU and Penn State.
