The UCLA Bruins’ first game of the DeShaun Foster era ended in a too-close-for-comfort victory on the road against Hawaii.
Trojans Wire site editor Matt Zemek hosted a new podcast called College Gridiron Coast to Coast and he said UCLA is in for a long year:
“UCLA. This is going to get ugly, I think… Barely squeaking by Hawaii…UCLA just barely crawling past Hawaii on a late field goal. That does not bode well for DeShaun Foster…This offense looks awful. The Big figures to chew u UCLA. My preseason prediction for UCLA, 2-10, and one of the wins being over Hawaii. Can’t say I saw anything in Week 1 to make me rethink that prediction…I think this year could be very, very ugly for the Bruins if they don’t find answers on the offense, if they don’t make s significant move forward.”
It was a rough game for the Bruins, and while a win is a win, it is a big cause for concern going forward.
