USC offers four-star football recruit RJ Sermons Jr.

Doug Belk is putting in a lot of work on the trail.

Rancho Cucamonga (California) cornerback RJ Sermons Jr. is very much in demand. USC football extended an offer to Sermons, a four-star prospect from the 2026 class.

Sermons is rated as a four-star recruit by both the On3 and 247 rankings. He is the No. 18 overall player and No. 2 cornerback in the 2026 recruiting class. He also is the No. 3 player in the state of California in the 2026 class.

Sermons’ top offers so far include UCLA, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Washington, Utah, Louisville, Arizona, Colorado, Syracuse and Arizona State

USC has a slight recruiting advantage with Sermons, whose father, Rodney Sermons, played running back at USC from 1994-1997. The elder Sermons ran for 1,170 total yards and 16 total touchdowns in his career.

USC hopes to add to its secondary in this recruitment. The Trojans just did get a commitment from cornerback Shamar Arnoux, who is based in Carrollton, Georgia. Doug Belk is getting some work done. Let’s see if he can add to his haul for USC.
