The USC Trojans are looking to bolster their offensive line depth through the transfer portal. They have keyed on a high-upside talent with multiple years of eligibility remaining.
USC offered Arkansas left tackle Devon Manuel this week, the redshirt sophomore announced via social media.
Since entering the transfer portal on Dec. 4, Manuel has received a handful of offers, including Miami, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Florida and Kentucky. Expect that list to grow.
Manuel is a 6-foot-8, 310-pound left tackle with plenty of upside. Injuries kept him from being Arkansas’ top blindside blocker to start the season, but he returned and proved he was the best.
After redshirting in 2021 and appearing in just one game in 2022, Manuel trimmed down and earned the top left tackle spot this past fall camp before an undisclosed injury sidelined him.
According to Pro Football Focus, Manuel finished the 2023 season with an overall grade of 68.4, a pass grade of 89.4, a pass block grade of 63.5, and a run block grade of 65.6.
A consensus three-star prospect in high school, he was rated the No. 28 player in Louisiana by 247Sports and the No. 78 overall offensive tackle.
