The NBA season is beginning this week. It began for the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. The Bulls defeated the Miami Heat, 116-108.
Former USC Trojan and Compton, Calif., native DeMar DeRozan recorded a game-high 37 points, along with six rebounds and nine assists. Chicago big man and former Trojan Nikola Vucevic added 15 points and 17 rebounds.
Expect the Bulls to be one of the top six seeds in the Eastern Conference if they can maintain a reasonable degree of health. The Bulls are currently missing Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball, both key players, with LaVine being an All-Star.
Hopefully for the Bulls, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic will stay hot when they travel to D.C. on Friday to take on the Washington Wizards. LaVine is questionable to play in that game, but as long as DeRozan and Vooch are balling out, the Bulls should be fine against the Wizards.
