USC makes final five for four-star 2025 shooting guard

USC continues to be in play for some top hoops recruits.

Kayden ‘Bugg” Edwards released his top five schools with USC, LSU, Colorado, Oklahoma State and TCU making the cut. Edwards is a 6-foot-3 guard out of Duncanville, Texas, who is a four-star prospect from the 2025 class.

On3, 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals all list Edwards as a four-star prospect. 247Sports is the highest on Edwards among that group, listing him as the No. 56 player in the class. That makes him the No. 6 player out of Texas and the No. 12 shooting guard in the class.

According to On3, Edwards is expected to take official visits to each of his top five schools — with Colorado (Aug. 29), Oklahoma State (Sept. 7), TCU (Sept. 12), LSU (Sept. 21) and USC (Sept. 27).

Edwards averaged 23.2 points, 2.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds a game while shooting 35% from 3 point land in 2023.

There are no crystal ball projections for “Bugg” Edwards at this time but the TCU Horned Frogs are a 25% favorite to land him per On3’s recruiting prediction machine.
