USC has offered Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder, a top junior college defensive lineman from the 2024 class.
A 6-foot-6, 297-pound native of Whitman (Massachusetts), Alcorn-Crowder joined Butler Community College from the Class of 2022 as an unranked prospect from Whitman-Hanson Regional High.
Alcorn-Crowder is considered the No. 8 defensive lineman and No. 23 overall prospect from the junior college level in the recruiting class of 2024, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Coming out of high school, Alcorn-Crowder got little attention and was unranked, but a strong year with the Grizzlies put him on the map. He finished the 2023 season with 28 total tackles, including seven sacks and 10 tackles for loss.
Alcorn-Crowder also holds offers from Florida, Miami, Auburn, North Carolina State, Coastal Carolina, UConn and Cincinnati.
USC has to find more defensive line help. The Trojans benefited from getting Bear Alexander in 2023, but they didn’t get a lot of value from other defensive line additions such as Anthony Lucas or Jack Sullivan, two transfers who didn’t really develop over the course of the season. USC needs more bodies, but beyond that, it needs players who are ready to produce. This is one place the Trojans are turning to in the hope they can get needed reinforcements.
