Decatur (Texas) four-star running back Nathaniel Palmer is currently favored to choose USC at 93.6%, per On3’s Sam Spiegelman On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine
A 5-foot-10, 180-pound tailback, Palmer is taking his official visit to Los Angeles at some point from June 16-18. He previously visited USC on April 8 and July 30.
As a sophomore, he ran for 897 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 7.5 yards per carry.
In his junior season, he ran for 2,250 yards and 25 touchdowns while hauling in 30 receptions for 308 yards and eight touchdowns.
Palmer is ranked as the No. 37 running back in the country and the No. 91 recruit from the state of Texas for the class of 2024, according to Rivals.
Other schools in the running to land Palmer are North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Baylor, Ole Miss, Oregon and Utah.
USC is making a concerted effort to build its running back room for the future. This is because USC’s MarShawn Lloyd and Austin Jones will be gone after they play for the Trojans in 2023. Restocking will be needed. Lincoln Riley wants to be ahead of the curve.
USC has landed three crystal ball predictions the last three days from players in the state of Texas. As well as a crystal ball for a local CA defensive player.
