The numbers just keep growing for USC football’s 2024 recruiting class, the Trojans’ class ranking, and for the program’s roster once it reaches the Big Ten next year.
The Trojans secured a fifth commitment over the past two days on Monday afternoon. Manasse Itete, a four-star offensive lineman from Modesto, Calif., committed to USC. Josh Henson brought in a second offensive lineman in this 50-hour period. USC is already building substantial depth up front for its move to the Big Ten. That has to make people in and around the program feel very confident about the team’s ability to handle the physical style of Big Ten football.
Itete joins four other recruits who have committed to USC since Saturday evening: offensive lineman Hayden Treter from the state of Colorado, safety Jarvis Boatwright from the state of Florida, cornerback Dakoda Fields from Gardena, Calif., and edge rusher Kameryn Fountain from Atlanta.
What adds to the excitement surrounding Itete’s recruitment is that it doesn’t seem like the end of this flurry for USC. More commitments could be just around the corner in an explosive, thrilling time for this fan base and football community.
As the tweet below from Chris Trevino of 247Sports notes, USC is moving up the boards in national class rankings, overall Pac-12 ranking, and overall Big Ten recruiting ranking:
#USC's 2024 class is now No. 20 in the nation with the addition of OL Manasse Itete.
Holds at No. 2 in the Pac-12 and No. 6 in the Big Ten:https://t.co/c0jFq4bsL2
