USC four-star target from Utah transfers to Sierra Canyon

Does this high school transfer give USC a better chance of winning this recruitment?

Chris Nwuli, a 2025 four-star wing prospect who played at Wasatch Academy in Utah last season, has transferred and enrolled at Sierra Canyon in Chatworth (California). Two seasons ago, Nwuli played for Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas. Nwuli is listed at 6-foot-7, 200 pounds on 247Sports.com with offers from USC basketball, Utah, Saint Mary’s, LSU, Washington State, Ohio State, UCLA, San Diego State, and St. John’s among a list of others.

He’s ranked the No. 56 prospect in the country, the No. 17 forward, and was ranked the No. 4 overall prospect in Utah.

“I don’t know too much about my recruitment, I’m just hooping,” Nwuli said. “My dad’s handling a lot of my recruitment, but by the way he talks to me it sounds like it’s going pretty smooth right now. I’m still talking to the same schools I was talking to before.”

Nwuli averaged 8.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game as a junior last season.

The USC Trojans and Eric Mussleman currently have zero commits in the 2025 recruiting class.
