USC football photos from unforgettable win over LSU

It was a night for emotions, elation and vindication in Las Vegas. Look at the images from a stirring USC win.

What a night for USC football and a fan base which wondered all offseason if the Trojans could pick themselves off the mat and regroup in 2024. The 2023 season was a miserable, humiliating experience. The Trojans came into the season with College Football Playoff dreams and finished 7-5 in their 12-game schedule. The Holiday Bowl, however, gave USC fans a big lift. The win over Louisville offered the hope that maybe the 2024 team could repair what the 2023 season tore apart. Sure enough, USC responded to the challenge in a stirring 27-20 win over LSU in Las Vegas.

We noted how much the moment meant to Miller Moss, who starred in USC’s triumph:

ESPN/ABC interviewer Holly Rowe talked to USC quarterback Miller Moss right after the Trojans scored a gigantic, thrilling, pulse-pounding 27-20 win over LSU on Sunday night in their 2024 college football season opener. Rowe noted as she spoke to Moss that the quarterback was on the verge of tears. Emotions were welling up and pouring out for the man who waited so very long for this moment, this stage, this opportunity at USC.

Miller Moss sat behind Caleb Williams for two seasons, soaking up knowledge and trusting in Lincoln Riley’s system and — much more than that — Riley’s vision for what he could become as a quarterback. Moss was willing to be an observer and a practice player for multiple years of his life because he trusted that in 2024, his big chance would come, and that he would be ready to seize it.
