USC commit Corey Simms no longer expected to visit Nebraska

A Nebraska target is no longer visiting Lincoln this weekend.

Earlier this week, it was expected that University of Southern California wide receiver commitment and Missouri native Corey Simms would visit the Huskers for their matchup against Rutgers. That is no longer the case.

According to Adam Gorney of Rivals, Simms is no longer expected to make the trip to Lincoln this weekend and instead is planning to visit USC next weekend when the Trojans play host to Penn State.

Rivals rank Simms as a four-star prospect and a borderline top-100 prospect, being ranked No. 107 nationally. The recruiting service also ranks Simms as the No. 20 wide receiver in the country.

In late June, Simms chose the Trojans over Missouri, Penn State, and Nebraska, among others.

The Huskers hold 19 commitments in their 2025 recruiting class, including a trio of wide receiver commitments from Isaiah Mozee, Tanner Terch, and Bryson Hayes.
