USC basketball five-star target will re-classify from 2026 to 2025 class

This would be an amazing get for Andy Enfield.

A.J. Dybantsa, the No. 1 basketball recruit in Class of 2026 and a USC target, will reclassify and become a top-five prospect in the 2025 class.

Originally from Massachusetts, Dybantsa recently moved to Napa Valley to attend Prolific Prep. The thought was that Dybantsa would benefit from playing a national schedule against a plethora of big-time competitors across the country.

Dybantsa, a five-star prospect, was the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2026, but he announced on CBS Sports HQ that he will be joining the Class of 2025.

Dybantsa is a 6-foot-9, 205-pound power forward at Prolific Prep in Napa, California. He will battle Cameron Boozer for the right to be rated the No. 1 player in the 247Sports Class of 2025 Player Rankings.

Dybantsa’s high school teammate, Tyran Stokes, will become the new No. 1 player in the Class of 2026. The move could potentially give Prolific Prep the No. 1 prospect in both the 2025 and 2026 classes.

USC’s basketball program has been making waves. With the potential addition of A.J. Dybantsa, the Trojans may be on the verge of a new era, challenging the established order in college basketball. This development has the potential to reshape the landscape not just for USC but for the sport as a whole.

Oklahoma fans were right about Lincoln Riley, at least for this specific season.

USC assistants need to be coaching for their jobs.

Lincoln Riley did not assemble an elite 2023 roster, which surprised us and a lot of other observers.

Is USC ready to win in 2024 with Miller Moss or Malachi Nelson at quarterback? Lincoln Riley has to be honest about how he answers that question.

Brent Venables is coaching Oklahoma far better this year than Lincoln Riley is coaching USC. It’s up to Riley to change that reality.
