Only two regular season games remain for a Colorado men’s basketball team looking to sneak into the NCAA Tournament. Although the Buffs currently have a favorable NET ranking of No. 31 (second-highest in the Pac-12), they remain on the bubble in most March Madness projections.
USA TODAY Sports released its updated bracketology on Tuesday and Colorado was a “last four in” team along with New Mexico, Seton Hall and Villanova.
Elsewhere in the Pac-12, Washington State (No. 39 in the NET) was a No. 6 seed while Arizona took a No. 2 seed. Utah was also featured in the “first four out.”
In other bracketologies, ESPN’s Joe Lundardi put Colorado in his “first four out” and CBS Sports has the Buffs facing St. John’s in the First Four.
Beating Oregon on Thursday night should put Colorado on the right side of the bubble. Tipoff for that game is set for 7 p.m. MT on ESPN2.
