USA TODAY Sports gives Travis Hunter preseason All-American honors at multiple spots

USA TODAY Sports revealed its preseason All-American teams

USA TODAY Sports released its preseason college football All-American teams on Monday, and Colorado superstar Travis Hunter was featured in two different spots.

Hunter, a consensus All-American in 2023, earned first-team all-purpose honors and was a second-team cornerback on USA TODAY Sports’ preseason list. No other player saw their name displayed more than once.

Heading into his second season with the Buffs, Hunter is considered one of the top non-quarterback contenders for the Heisman Trophy due to his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. The former five-star recruit tallied 721 receiving yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions as a sophomore last season.

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, another legitimate Heisman threat, was not featured on either team. Carson Beck (Georgia Bulldogs) and Dillon Gabriel (Oregon Ducks) were the first and second-team quarterbacks, respectively.
