Could a Bot write a top Super Bowl spot better?
Thanks to Adweek and some interesting state-of-the-art AI, we get a glimpse at the answer in 2021.
Using a Super Bowl Bot—an AI that taps sophisticated language generation tech to create Super Bowl ad concepts—they were able to see how the technology would approach the 10 highest-rated USA TODAY Ad Meter commercials of all time.
What were the results? As Adweek noted: ...hardly as memorable or unique as the highly polished ads they are mimicking, the bot is at least able to string together coherent, often-zany ideas that might pass for a real ad in the Big Game—if not a historically popular one.
