MADISON- In an interview with Rob Stone on Fox College Football, former coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Urban Meyer, talked about who he missed going up against in the Big Ten. His list mentions several notable names of Big Ten coaches including Jim Harbaugh, Mark Dantonio, James Franklin, Gary Anderson, and as nicknamed in the interview Paul “Rick” Chryst.
He described fondness for being able to compete against his former assistant, Gary Anderson while he was the head coach at Wisconsin. Meyer then went on to describe that the games were like “street fights” against Wisconsin under Paul Chryst.
It is interesting to hear this perspective from the coach of a former rival team like the Buckeyes, and that he considered a fairly lopsided series in recent years a “street fight.”
What do you think about the comments by Meyer? Would you like to see him back in college football? Let me know in the comments below.
