Urban Meyer will be making it official with the Jacksonville Jaguars soon and fans are anticipating him to sign the dotted line. With the college football season over, the three-time national champion and Fox Sports analyst arrived in Jacksonville today.
Meyer began his day hopping off a private jet Thursday afternoon at Cecil Airport. He then made his way to TIAA Bank Field, which could lead to an official statement and deal later.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Meyer and the Jags had ‘advanced talks’ Wednesday towards finalizing a deal. Hours later, Twitter user @E_Dilla revealed that Meyer had touched down in Jacksonville around 12:38 EST, then Ben Ryan of Action News Jax reported Meyer’s arrival at the stadium around 2:30 EST.

The Jags have been rumored to have Meyer on their radar for quite some time and owner Shad Khan has been working hard to make his acquisition happen. As a result, the Jags have arguably been the NFL’s hottest topic of Thursday as fans await the dominoes to start falling in terms of vacancies.
When the ink becomes dry, Meyer will be the Jags’ fifth coach (sixth if you include interim Mel Tucker). He’ll be taking over a vacancy left by former head coach Doug Marrone, who was fired last Monday.
