The Bucs tamed the Lions in Detroit last season, 38-17, but that was against Lions backup quarterback David Blough. If Stafford can remain healthy, the Lions could be a surprise playoff contender in 2020. This matchup for the Buccaneers also comes sandwiched between Week 15 and 17 games against the Falcons, and if the NFC South race turns out to be as close as many think it will be, the Bucs could very well be caught looking ahead to their Week 17 home finale against Atlanta instead of focusing on the Lions in Week 16.
