The Philadelphia 76ers currently have a lot more important matters to attend to with the NBA Playoffs getting set to begin on Monday night, but there is another important development for their future.
The Sixers will have a first-round pick after the Oklahoma City Thunder won enough games to have the pick convey to Philadelphia. The Sixers acquired the pick in the 2019 deadline Markelle Fultz trade with the Orlando Magic.
On Monday afternoon, the non-lottery portion of the 2020 NBA Draft was set as the NBA completed some coin flips. The Thunder landed at 21 in the draft which means Philadelphia will pick 21st in the draft on October 16. This is the perfect outcome for them as the pick was top 20 protected.
The #Sixers will have the 21st overall pick and four second-rounders (34, 36, 49 and 58) in the NBA draft on Oct. 16.

On top of that, the Sixers will also possess four second-round picks that could prove handy in a draft such as this one. General manager Elton Brand does have a history of moving those types of picks in the past, however, and there is a chance he could also move those picks for some more assets.
In the meantime, the Sixers will take on the Boston Celtics on Monday in Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs in Orlando. [lawrence-related id=36896,36886,36880]
