Before traveling to Green Bay for their Week 12 game against the Packers, the San Francisco 49ers suited up for their final practice of the week on Friday afternoon.
To start practice, the 49ers were without a flurry of star players, including their starting signal caller. As practice began, quarterback Brock Purdy was not on the field. Purdy picked up a shoulder injury during the 49ers’ Week 11 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Without Purdy, backup veteran passer Brandon Allen was under center for the 49ers at practice. Allen was in a competition over the offseason with fellow quarterback Joshua Dobbs. Allen last made a start in 2021 for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Adding to their already stacked injury report is Pro Bowl pass rusher Nick Bosa (hip, oblique) and All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) were also missing from the start of practice on Friday.

Following practice on Friday, the 49ers will make their trip to Green Bay for a potentially snowy Week 12 contest against the 7-3 Packers.
