The Dallas Cowboys have been active during the first week of free agency, just not in the typical sense. They’ve signed their own high priority free agents, which is the norm. However they have also brought in help from the outside. While that’s typical for most franchises, it isn’t for Dallas; not this early. Also different is their method of getting said talent; utilizing the trade market to acquire veterans who don’t they don’t have to pay big money up front to or attach themselves to for future seasons.
