Upcoming three-game stretch could decide Alabama’s season

Alabama plays a trio of ranked team’s over their next three games.

Entering Week 8 of the 2024 college football season, you could certainly say that we have seen both ups-and-downs from the Alabama Crimson Tide up to this point in the year.

After an undefeated 4-0 start to the season headlined by a home win over the Georgia Bulldogs, the Crimson Tide however were upset at Vanderbilt two weeks ago, and then backed that up with a victory over South Carolina last week in which they struggled.

Because of this, Alabama now enters Week 8 with a 5-1 overall record for the season, as well as with some question marks as to if they will end up making the 12-team College Football Playoff later this season. Alabama will likely not have to wait long to have a potential answer to that question either, as this upcoming three-game stretch for the Crimson Tide just might show it.

Starting on Saturday against Tennessee, Alabama will play three consecutive games against a Top 25 ranked team, which features the No. 11 Volunteers, No. 19 Missouri, and No. 8 LSU. Two of those games come on the road in Knoxville and Baton Rouge, while Alabama gets Missouri at home.

Three tough matchups for the Crimson Tide, this stretch could potentially decide on if Alabama will end up making the College Football Playoff, as the team likely cannot lose more than one of these games, two at the most.
