University of Memphis extends offer to Bronny James

The University of Memphis wants LeBron James’ son to play for them.

Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, is a year away from starting college, and more NCAA basketball programs are expressing interest in him.

Recently, Rutgers University in New Jersey tried to recruit him, and now, the University of Memphis wants him.

Via Lakers Daily:

“Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, reportedly has received an offer to play college basketball at the University of Memphis.

“‘Sierra Canyon four-star combo guard Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, has received an offer from Memphis, a source told On3,’ Joe Tipton wrote.”

The University of Memphis is a decent basketball school. It has produced prominent NBA players over the years such as Tyreke Evans and Derrick Rose.

More recently, James Wiseman of the Golden State Warriors, Will Barton of the Washington Wizards and Precious Achiuwa of the Toronto Raptors are former Memphis stars.

Playing for the Tigers would allow the younger James to be coached by former NBA star Anfernee Hardaway, another former Memphis star player.
