Unfamiliar face trades up to pick Jayden Daniels in latest NFL.com mock draft

Could an offense that’s a quarterback away make a move for Jayden Daniels in the top-five?

[autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] has boosted his draft stock arguably more than any college football player in the past 12 months.

He was hardly even featured on draft boards entering the season, but he’s now seen as a top-three quarterback and likely top-five pick in April’s draft.

Most mocks show Daniels either going second to the Washington Commanders or third to the New England Patriots, but the latest mock from NFL.com predicts a move we haven’t seen discussed.

Dan Parr has Caleb Williams and Drake Maye going with the first two picks, and he projects the Patriots will select receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. instead. For Daniels, he has the Atlanta Falcons trading up with the Cardinals to land their franchise quarterback at pick No. 4.

Atlanta pounces before another team moves up for the Heisman Trophy winner’s services. Daniels brings dual-threat electricity to the Falcons’ offense under new head coach Raheem Morris.

This mock also features [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag], who goes sixth to the New York Giants, and [autotag]Brian Thomas Jr.[/autotag], who goes 28th to the Buffalo Bills, both of which have been widely projected landing spots for the pair.

Atlanta already has a loaded roster offensively with a number of talented skill-position players. It could be a quarterback away, and Daniels would be an exciting addition to the group.
