UNC’s opponent in 2023 Jumpman Invitational revealed

The UNC basketball program will face off against Oklahoma in the 2023 Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte.

As the long wait for the 2023-24 college basketball season goes on here in April, we continue to find out more about North Carolina’s nonconference schedule.

It was announced last week that the Tar Heels will host Radford and UC Riverside. Now we have the opponent for UNC’s game in the second Jumpman Classic in Charlotte.

Per Jon Rothstein, North Carolina will face the Oklahoma Sooners in Charlotte as part of the event. Michigan will face Florida in the other game for the event. The matchups will be officially announced at a later date.

The date and times for the event have not been announced, but last year’s event took place Dec. 20-21 with four men’s teams and four women’s teams in the field. North Carolina faced Michigan, while Oklahoma and Florida squared off.

North Carolina will also play in the Battle 4 Atlantis ahead of Thanksgiving, the Jimmy V Classic in New York City and the CBS Sports Classic. The Tar Heels will match up with Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic.

The full 2023-24 schedule for North Carolina, including conference games, will be announced at a later date.
