Eric Bieniemy once again failed to land a head coaching job. The former Colorado Buffaloes legend has worked wonders with the Kansas City Chiefs as their offensive coordinator and has been a regular candidate the past two seasons for a head coaching role.
But, Bieniemy failed to land a job again, and the New Orleans Saints opening was his final opportunity for this offseason. Bieniemy was also a candidate for the Denver Broncos and they brought him in for an interview.
But, he didn’t get a job this time around, and now his future with the Chiefs is uncertain, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Bieniemy could be a free agent, although Andy Reid should want him to return, especially with Mike Kafka leaving for the OC position with the New York Giants.

If Bieniemy doesn’t return to Kansas City, he should be one of the hottest names available — if not the best on the market. He has reportedly even considered going back to college, but at this point, who knows where he’d land.
It would be a surprise if Bieniemy doesn’t return to Kansas City, but maybe the Chiefs feel like it is time for a change. All eyes are on Bieniemy over the next couple of days.
