UNC ranked in 247Sports way-too-early top 25

The UNC basketball program was ranked in 247Sports way-too-early top 25 for the 2023-24 season.

The college basketball season officially ended this week, and for the UNC basketball program, it’s time to look ahead to next year.

While there are a great many questions around the UNC program, the return of [autotag]RJ Davis[/autotag] and [autotag]Armando Bacot[/autotag] have given the Tar Heels the core of its roster.

However, there are four available scholarships for the 2023-24 season.

The question marks haven’t stopped analysts from predicting a bounce-back season for UNC. That includes 247Sports, which has the Tar Heels in its way-too-early top 25.

The Tar Heels come in at No. 23 overall.

“With R.J. Davis and Armando Bacot coming back and Caleb Love moving on, the Tar Heels may be a bit more balanced this season. Spacing around those two will once again be key; North Carolina could be among the nation’s most important teams to watch in the transfer portal.”

Duke (1) and Miami (8) are the other programs from the ACC that are ranked in the way-too-early poll.

While there are still many programs around the country looking to add to their rosters through the transfer portal, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see the Tar Heels back in the top 25 next season.
