UNC football up one spot in US LBM Coaches Poll

The UNC football program moved up a spot in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after beating Syracuse.

Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels are inching closer and closer to the top 10. With Saturday’s 40-7 win over Syracuse in Chapel Hill, UNC finds themselves moving up again in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll.

The poll was released on Sunday afternoon with the Tar Heels climbing from No. 13 to No. 12.  UNC is just outside of the top 10 behind No. 11 Texas who fell seven spots and No. 10 Alabama who stayed put after beating Texas A&M.

North Carolina is the second-highest-ranked Atlantic Coast Conference program in the poll, again. They trail only No. 4 Florida State who stayed put in the rankings after a win.

Louisville moved up 10 spots from No. 25 to No. 15 after beating Notre Dame, Duke moved up three spots to No. 18. Miami fell out of the rankings with the loss to Georgia Tech.

Next up for the Tar Heels is an ACC battle against the Hurricanes in Chapel Hill.
