The UNC football program is off to a good start for the 2024 recruiting class and is hoping to add to it very soon. After missing on a few prospects recently, most notably at the quarterback position, the Tar Heels need to pick up some momentum.
On Tuesday, a three-star recruiting target revealed when he plans to make his decision. Three-star safety Zahir Rainer will make his decision on April 13 at 5 p.m. ET live on 247Sports. Rainer plans to choose from among his final seven after trimming the list from 31.

The Richmond, Virginia, native is down to Minnesota, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Stanford and Wake Forest in his recruitment. Minnesota holds the lead on the 247Sports crystal ball list and might just be the favorites going into decision day.
Rainer is ranked No. 765 nationally, the No. 66 safety and No. 19 player in the state of Virginia per the 247Sports rankings.
