UNC football picked to finish third in ACC by media

The UNC football program has been picked to finish third in the ACC by the media ahead of the 2023 season.

The 2023 ACC Kickoff is officially in the books as Charlotte hosted the three-day event last week. After each team’s player representatives and coaches all spoke, the focus has now shifted to camp as the teams prepare for the 2023 season.

And now we have the full predictions from the media that were in attendance and voted.

The ACC has released its predictions by the media with Clemson taking the top spot followed by Florida State. But after them, the Tar Heels appear as they are picked to finish third in the conference this season.

This was pretty much expected as most of the preseason polls so far have had the Tar Heels as the third-best team in the conference going into the year.

UNC did receive a total of 1,981 points including 5 first-place votes from the media. Finishing behind UNC was No. 4 NC State, No. 5 Miami, No. 6 Duke/Pitt.
